Pink is not a colour but A COLOUR and this pink(with a slight tinge of red) tourmaline is no exception. Mined from our own land in Africa, this pink tourmaline has travelled to Sri Lanka to visit our master cutters. They have given it a masterful rectangular cushion shape and a modified cut on the pavilion. The stone weight comes to 1.21 carats and has dimensions of 6.69mm by 5.94mm and a pavilion depth of 4.03mm. The stone is loupe clean and has had no treatment done to it, similar to many of our gemstones. Pink-coloured tourmalines such as this are called rubellite tourmalines, because of their vivid pinkish-red colour.

Ultimately this pinkish-red tourmaline is a beautiful addition to any ring earring or necklace and could be yours.

African Tourmaline

Tourmalines are a type of gemstone from a group which composes of boron-silicate minerals, coming in a variety of different colours. It also contains different elements such as magnesium, sodium, aluminium, iron, potassium and lithium. Additionally, the individual minerals have different chemical compositions but share a common crystal structure, allowing for the aforementioned wide range in colour.
