African Aquamarine – Light Blue – Cushion – 1.70 Carats

$1,225.00

Charles Blanc, a French art critic from the 1800s, described the aquamarine as having the glassy tint of the waves of the sea. This rectangular cushion-shaped aquamarine is a testament to this quote. Indeed, the slight inclusions present in the stone adds another aspect to the stone but also indicates that the stone is natural and hasn’t undergone any treatment. The stone has the dimensions of 6.02mm by 8.42mm and a pavilion depth of 5.50mm. It also weighs a decent 1.70 carats, giving it the chance to represent itself and you as the centre stone of any piece of jewellery which you might be thinking of getting made. This stone, like many of its aquamarine siblings, originates from our mines situated in Africa and are personally cut by our lapidarists in Sri Lanka.

This stone is a sure surprise for those who look upon it, vibrating their lives to a whole another level.

FAMOUS AQUAMARINE JEWELLERY
Brazilian Aquamarine Parure in the British Crown Jewels
The “Brazilian Aquamarine Parure in the British Crown Jewels” owned by Queen Elizabeth the Second is one example of marvellous pieces of jewellery containing alluring aquamarines. The jewellers at Mappin & Webb in Rio de Janeiro made these stunning pieces of jewellery. Afterwards, the President and People of Brazil presented them to Her Majesty for her coronation. Also, the original set is a stunning necklace and matching pendant earrings. Both the pieces have multiple rectangular pieces of Brazilian aquamarine set in diamond and platinum.

The Aquamarine bracelet and pendant necklace came a few years afterwards due to the discovery of more matching Brazilian Aquamarines. Then, Her Majesty decided for a tiara made of similar aquamarine gemstones to accompany her already stunning set. This time it was Royal Court Jeweller, Garrard who was responsible for the splendid headwear. Additionally, the complete set has seen the light of day on multiple occasions, and Her Majesty The Queen thoroughly enjoys their presence.
